I was very excited that finally I got to take Harley home. On Friday after school, we went to the pool for a swimming lesson. Harley did not swim. He just watched, but he had a good time. After the pool we went to the Vietnamese restaurant, and for the first time in his life he tried lychee. Lychee is very tasty and a sweet fruit, and it looks like a snowball with a hole inside. While we were waiting for the bill, Harley dressed up just like Obi-Wan Kenobi, and pretended that my chopstick was a lightsaber, and the napkin was his cape.

Next day, we played piano. I played and Harley sang along. After that, Harley noticed our chessboard, and wanted to play. I won, because I got his queen, and his king had nowhere to go. Then it was time to go to sleep, so we read a bedtime book, and Harley slept really well with me and my other cuddly toys. He slept so well that I had to wake him up, and so we went to school. We will miss Harley. The end.

I was so excited to have Harley for the weekend.
On Saturday morning we went to Maya's birthday party at Monkey Park.
Harley and I went on the climbing frame and slid down the slide.
It was Harley's first  time on a slide.
We had a brilliant time and the cake was yummy!
Later on, we decorated domino biscuits for my brother's party.
Harley was a good helper.

The next day it was my brother's 3rd birthday party.
Harley helped me give out some of the  prizes for the games.
Then Harley ate a piece of birthday cake.
Harley and I had a great weekend!

Daniel and Harley

Look at the lovely writing that Daniel did about his weekend with the class mascot, Harley.
